MDD410

The MDD410 is the 4 in high-resolution display, on the ESP32-P4 with a MIPI-DSI panel drawn by LVGL. It is the design reference: every page is designed at its pixel size, because a layout that works at 4 in works at least as well at 5 in.

Design at its pixels

The MDD410 shows the 720 × 720 canvas pixel for pixel on its 4 in panel, at 0.0999 mm per pixel.

  • Touch targets. About 9 mm is 90 px and 8 mm is 80 px on this panel, the figures used under Touch accessibility.

Use the corners for background only

The MDD410's window is the 72.13 mm square opening in the print on its cover glass, with square corners. It shows the whole canvas, so its corners may carry background artwork. Text and touch targets still stay inside the MDD500 corner arcs, because one layout serves both products.

Tune touch for the GT911

Touch is the Goodix GT911 controller, which has no water setting. Wet handling comes from tuning its touch and release thresholds, its de-jitter count, its noise reduction and its large-touch rejection, together with filtering in firmware.

Carry the full design

The MDD410 shows 24-bit colour with transparency and anti-aliasing, so it carries every part of the design, including the recess, the needle's shadow and glow and the translucent readout window.

Not yet ruled

The draft palette and the typefaces are still to be judged on a MIPI panel in direct sun and in the dark, tracked as SCY-SW-ISSUE-UXPANELTEST-001.
